Dcos Metrics Versions Save

This version of dcos-metrics is for the DC/OS 1.11.0 release.

With this release, we are pleased to announce Prometheus metrics integration, meaning that DC/OS now ships with a turnkey self-hosted metrics solution. During this release cycle we also shipped node-level blkio metrics and container resource utilisation statistics, a Prometheus plugin for earlier versions of DC/OS, and improved the performance of plugins.

Thanks are due to the members of the DC/OS Day 2 Ops working group, who contributed significantly to this release.

Change in Release Process for Metrics Plugins

The release cadence for metrics plugins is changing as of 1.11. Instead of releasing plugins with each version, we will release each plugin ad-hoc whenever it is updated. All plugins will remain compatible with DC/OS 1.9 onward. We hope that this updated process will help get new features into the hands of users as quickly as possible, while also avoiding the overhead of placeholder releases when nothing has changed. Newly released plugins will be uploaded to downloads.dcos.io and linked from the README instead of being attached to releases.

This version of dcos-metrics is for the DC/OS 1.10.1 release.

In addition to two minor fixes, it is of note that the statsd plugin and the Prometheus plugin became available in 1.10.1 (their development is out of band with the rest of DC/OS). These plugins will work with DC/OS 1.9.4 and above.

This version of dcos-metrics is for the DC/OS 1.10.0 release.

In 1.9, dcos-metrics was considered experimental. During the 1.10 timeline we worked hard to stabilise dcos-metrics - see 1.9.2 changelog for a laundry-list of resolved issues - and we are pleased to declare dcos-metrics stable in DC/OS 1.10.
